Notion gives you one place to see your work and its context. Project docs, meeting notes, and roadmaps live side by side in Notion, so teams know the “why” behind a project. Use Notion's integration for Slack to preserve knowledge created in Slack and stay updated on work progress in Notion. You can:

- Send a Slack message to a Notion database (e.g. create a task)
- Control which notifications get sent to a Slack channel or DM (e.g. a task is marked “completed”). You can also reply to Notion comments directly in Slack
- Share Notion links that expand with useful information and AI summaries. You can also grant page access permissions directly in Slack
- Paste a Slack message link in Notion to see an up-to-date, live visualization of that message

### Message shortcuts

With message shortcuts, you can quickly create a task in another service from a message in Slack. Message shortcuts are available in the **More actions** menu from any message.

#### Slash commands

Slash commands allow you to complete an action with an app simply by sending a message in Slack. Type a / forward slash in any conversation to view a list of available slash commands.

Notion has 1 slash command:

/notion

Enables interaction with Notion via Slack.

### Org-wide deployment

Apps with Org-wide deployment enabled can be installed at the org level in an Enterprise Grid org and subsequently deployed across workspaces by an Org Owner or Admin. This removes the need to install the app individually on each workspace.
